"... As a rule, blues records are kept in the convention of Chicago blues, blues rock or West-Coast. It's not difficult to get an acoustic record, but it's hard to find an artist who would be tempted to reinvent the wheel and want to change something in this already fossilized formula of the genre (However, art does not have an expiration date, right?) In fact, apart from the latest Krzak release, it is hard to find musicians or an album on our market that shook the blues world (I'm not talking about bands from abroad, here for example Black Keys do an amazing job and kudos to them.) And here you are, what a surprise!
Anna Marucha's second album with The Taxi Blues Band can be recommended to everyone. And I write these words with full conviction. Blues fans will find here their favorite music served in an unusual, delicate, even airy way. The album is maintained in a subdued chillout and soul style, and the whole thing is served in a tasty jazz-blues form. The minimum number of sounds, space in the compositions and "playing with silence" give an extremely atmospheric, almost sensual effect. The perfect CD for a "date night"...
"Love & Soul" will not disappoint lovers of more accessible and hit sounds, while those who are looking for something new, Anna Marucha's second album will certainly open their ears to other music genres and encourage further exploration. A great album, which I can only blame for the fact that there are no songs in Polish on it. It's a pity that blues artists so rarely write lyrics in our native language. But that's just my opinion. Well done!"

"...Love & Soul" is another album by Anna Marucha created as part of the singer's original studio project, cooperating with fellow musicians since 2009. Recorded at AM Studio Music in 2014, but the songs on the album were written by the artist in their original form in years 2009 - 2013. The result is a musical product carefully refined and thought out in every detail. Not without significance for the final effect is the fact that the vocalist who is the author of the music and lyrics also supervised the sound and production of the album. In each of these roles, she proved her talent and knowledge of the matter in which she moves.
The album contains thirteen tracks that freely break boundaries and stylistic barriers and intriguingly combine the trends of soul, jazz, chillout, also subtly touching reggae in one of the tracks. The reference to the sounds from the 90s resulted in a unique aura and a specific atmosphere, taking the listeners to the space of musically transposed emotions and nature untainted by the industrial hustle and bustle. This is clearly emphasized by the last track on the album.
The dominant personality of this project is of course Anna Marucha with a perfect, strong and characteristic warm timbre of her voice. It draws attention to itself with the precision of the accents laid out in each phrase. At the same time, with a free, intuitive and genuinely sincere interpretation of the musical message, it reaches the hearts... J.M. (events24.pl)

"...Anna Marucha is an experienced vocalist who started her professional musical career in the first half of the 1990s, recording the excellent album "Justice" under the name of Lips. She has three albums to her credit, cooperation with such artists as: Zanderhaus, Marek Kościkiewicz and Artur Gadowski has performed at the pier in Sopot, in Spodek in Katowice, at the festival in Jarocin, and is a lecturer at the Krzysztof Komeda Author's School of Popular Music and Jazz in Warsaw.
After a nearly fourteen-year break in solo activity (Anna's last album entitled "Chociaż Raz" was released in 1998), the artist prepared and released the excellent album "Taxi Blue" without any media publicity. The album was created with the accompaniment of The Taxi Blues Band, which includes several excellent instrumentalists.
"Taxi Blue" is a neat combination of several music genres. A tasty music cocktail full of heat and eroticism, jazz feeling, chillout calm, club beat and a pinch of blues passion was created - here's applause for the great guitarist Leszek Jakubczak.
Anna Marucha's singing fits perfectly into this convention. The artist easily maneuvers between soul, blues and jazz sounds. In addition, he sings softly and brings the listener into a state of bliss, a good mood.
This album is the perfect soundtrack for meeting for a drink at 2 am from Friday to Saturday, or for waking up on a sunny, summer, Sunday morning. And undoubtedly the greatest value of this album is that it may finally help such a great singer as Anna Marucha to achieve the fame she deserves for years. "...Z reguły płyty bluesowe utrzymane są w konwencji bluesa chicagowskiego, blues rocka czy West-Coastu. Nietrudno zdobyć płytę akustyczną, jednak ciężko znaleźć artystę, który pokusiłby się o ponowne wynalezienie koła i chciał coś zmienić w tej trochę już skostniałej formule gatunku (Jakkolwiek sztuka nie ma daty przydatności do spożycia, prawda?) W zasadzie poza ostatnim wydawnictwem Krzaka, ciężko na naszym rynku znaleźć muzyków czy album, który zatrząsł bluesowym światkiem (nie mówię tu o zespołach z zagranicy, tutaj choćby Black Keys robią niesamowitą robotę i chwała im za to). A tu proszę, jaka niespodzianka!
Drugi album Anny Maruchy z zespołem The Taxi Blues Band można polecić każdemu. I piszę te słowa z pełnym przekonaniem. Fani bluesa znajdą tu swoją ulubioną muzykę podaną w sposób niecodzienny, delikatny, wręcz zwiewny. Płyta utrzymana jest w stonowanej nastrojowej stylistyce chilloutu i soulu, a całość podano w smakowitej jazzowo-bluesowej formie. Minimalna ilość dźwięków, przestrzeń w kompozycjach oraz "granie ciszą" dają niezwykle nastrojowy, zmysłowy wręcz efekt. Idealna płyta na "nocną randkę"...
"Love & Soul" nie rozczaruje również miłośników brzmień bardziej przystępnych i przebojowych, z kolei tym, którzy szukają czegoś nowego, drugi album Anny Maruchy z pewnością otworzy uszy na inne gatunki muzyczne oraz zachęci do dalszych poszukiwań. Świetny krążek, któremu od siebie mogę zarzucić tylko to, że nie ma na nim utworów po polsku. Szkoda, że artyści bluesowi tak rzadko tworzą teksty w naszym ojczystym języku. Ale to tylko moja opinia. Świetna robota!"

"...Love & Soul" jest kolejnym albumem Anny Maruchy powstałym w ramach studyjnego autorskiego projektu wokalistki, współpracującej z zaprzyjaźnionymi muzykami od 2009 r. Nagrany w AM Studio Music w 2014 roku, ale utwory znajdujące się na płycie artystka napisała w pierwotnej formie w latach 2009 - 2013. Powstał w ten sposób muzyczny produkt starannie dopracowany i przemyślany w każdym szczególe. Nie bez znaczenia na finalny efekt pozostaje fakt, że wokalistka będąca autorką muzyki i tekstów czuwała też nad realizacją dźwięku i produkcją płyty. W każdej z tych ról dowiodła talentu i znajomości materii, w której się porusza.
Płyta zawiera trzynaście utworów, które swobodnie przełamują granice i bariery stylistyczne i intrygująco łączą nurty soulu, jazzu, chilloutu, dotykając też subtelnie reagge w jednym z utworów. Nawiązanie do brzmień z lat 90-tych zaowocowało niepowtarzalną aurą i specyficznym klimatem, przenosząc słuchaczy w przestrzenie przetransponowanych muzycznie emocji i natury nie skażonej industrialnym zgiełkiem. Akcentuje to dobitnie ostatni utwór na płycie.
Dominującą osobowością tego projektu jest oczywiście Anna Marucha dysponująca doskonałym, mocnym i charakterystycznym, ciepłym tembrem głosu. "...Anna Marucha to doświadczona wokalistka, która profesjonalną karierę muzyczną zapoczątkowała już w pierwszej połowie lat dziewięćdziesiątych, nagrywając znakomity album "Sprawiedliwość" pod szyldem Lips. Śpiew Anny Maruchy świetnie wpasowuje się w tę konwencję. Artystka z łatwością manewruje między brzmieniami soulowymi, bluesowymi i jazzowymi. Do tego śpiewa miękko i wprowadza słuchacza w stan błogości, dobry nastrój.
